What is an Art Party? An Art Party is generally a two hour workshop and a celebration held at Primary Colours Art School in Northcote Naarm. What does Primary Colours provide? Primary Colours will design a series of Art activities that are engaging and age appropriate. The activities can vary depending on the interest of the client or preferred mediums. Generally there are three activities in a two hour session: - Drawing - drawing games or a simple drawing workshop - Sculpture - making small pieces out of polymer clay such as keyrings or badges, or using air dry clay - Mixed media or collaborative piece - this may include collage or a group construction piece This is not a complete list of activities - these are merely examples. It is preferential for the client to meet with Primary Colours beforehand to discuss activities and a possible theme for the party. Other provisions - All Art materials and the use of Art making equipment and space - Extra tables for food and drinks - A “Chill Zone” that includes a couch, books, and toys - Use of the kitchen including: fridge, stove, plates and cutlery - Toilet with hand cleaning basin - Parking space in the rear with easy access to the kitchen - An extra staff member will be employed on the day to assist with preparation, running, and cleaning up after the party - A birthday greeting or other celebratory message on the blackboard - Stereo that can be remotely accessed via Bluetooth What should the client do? - Meet with Primary Colours beforehand to discuss the party and possible theme - Agree to the quoted amount and pay Primary Colours at least 24 hours before the party is scheduled to start - Provide all food and beverages for the guests including snacks and birthday cake - if appropriate COSTS - The standard cost of a two hour party for up to twelve children is $250+$25 GST = $275. - Additional guests will be charged $20+$2 GST = $22 per child. This extra fee can be paid on the day of the party. - A maximum of sixteen children is the capacity of most parties at Primary Colours.
